I want my Linux Search, Windows-style!
Windows Search-like functionality (hit the windows key, and type in your terms, then tap Enter)... in Linux? After years of flirtation with Linux, I recently made the jump. It's been a week since I have used Windows for anything other than syncing my iPhone... but one thing I miss... I mean REALLY miss, is the ease-of-use that Windows 7 (and Vista) have with search.
I found it easy and convenient to just hit the Windows Key, start typing the name of the program I wanted, and then hitting enter. It was much quicker than reaching for the mouse.
Is there something like this in Ubuntu 10.04 that I am missing? If so, where can I get it? Thanks in advance for all the help!
